PharmacyLive Launches a Pharmacy Branded Prescriber Portal Built for Compounding Pharmacies

OHIO, July 31, 2026: PharmacyLive today announced the launch of its pharmacy branded prescriber portal, a digital ordering and workflow platform developed specifically for independent compounding pharmacies and integrates with some pharamcy management systems and some EMR systems.

PharmacyLive helps pharmacies replace disconnected prescription forms, fax workflows, PDF documents and generic ordering systems with a structured digital experience controlled by the pharmacy. Each participating pharmacy can manage its own medications, formulations, pricing, locations, prescriber access and patient ordering workflow.

Unlike third party marketplaces that position themselves between the pharmacy and the prescriber, PharmacyLive is designed to strengthen the pharmacy's existing relationships. Prescribers interact directly with the pharmacy through a customized portal that reflects the pharmacy's brand, available formulations and preferred ordering process.

Designed Around Real Compounding Workflows

Compounded prescriptions often require more detail and customization than conventional retail prescriptions. Strength, concentration, dosage form, quantity, directions, formula identifiers and patient specific instructions must be captured accurately before the pharmacy can begin fulfillment.

PharmacyLive uses structured ordering fields, pharmacy defined formulations and prescription validation to reduce missing information and minimize repeated calls, faxes and clarification requests.

Built for Pharmacy Ownership

The pharmacy controls which medications and formulations appear in the portal, which practice locations can order, how pricing is displayed and how prescriptions enter the pharmacy's internal workflow.

This approach allows pharmacies to provide modern technology without giving up control of their formulary, patient relationships or prescriber network to an outside marketplace.

Integrated and Standalone Deployment

PharmacyLive can operate as a standalone portal or connect with supported pharmacy management systems. Integrated workflows can reduce duplicate entry by transferring structured prescription information into the pharmacy's existing operational process.
